AR15 Combo Scope Opinions:

Get the best of both worlds. With the advent of mini red dot sights, it was only a matter of time until we combined them with magnifying optics to cover everything from close-range to long-range... and everything in-between.

While some companies like Leupold, Trijicon, Burris and NcSTAR offer combo scope packages, you can do it yourself with just about any scope and mini red dot sight. First, you need to decide how you want to mount the mini sight.

In-Line:
For in-line mounting, you'll need something like the Burris P.E.P.R. mount so you can attach the mini dot on top of the scope.

The only problem you run into when mounting in-line is if your scope has a tall elevation turret. If so, it will block your red dot sight.

Offset:
This is a great choice when you have a scope with tall turrets or you just want to keep the mini dot lower on the rifle.

We have a number of Offset Mounts available. We really like this Weaver Offset shown above as it puts the dot in perfect position and is low enough to fit under most scopes.

Conclusion...
For most shooters, the Combo Sights are the best choice. Why choose between close range CQB and long range precision when you don't have to?
