Long Range AR15 Scopes

Scopes in this category are designed for shooting beyond 300 yards... or very small targets at shorter distances.  At longer ranges, it pays to buy to a high quality scope.  At 100 yards, you might not see the advantage of high quality lenses, but at 400 yards you'll see the difference.  Read more below...

Long Range AR15 Scope Opinions:

Buy the best scope you can afford!  If you can't afford it today, save your money and buy it when you can.  If you specifically want a scope for shooting small targets or beyond 300 yards, you won't be happy with a regular scope.  You really need the high end glass and components you'll only get in the more expensive scopes.

As mentioned before, at 100 yards - or worse yet inside the gun store - you won't see a lot of difference between the $150 scope and the $1000 scope.  But get them out looking at something 500 yards away on a hot day with the mirage boiling up off the ground and you will suddenly see the difference.

You really need to ask yourself how serious you are at long range shooting.... and if you're serious about it, then invest the money in a high end scope.
